File_000.jpegAs a passionate foodie and fitness fan, I believe it’s entirely possible to enjoy really good food whilst living a very healthy, happy lifestyle. And I like to do just that. I also take care to consider the environment in the way I shop and live, recently expanding this to include reducing my use of single use plastics.

In my day-to-day job I don’t have much opportunity to write, so rather than lose something that’s served me so well over the years I decided to start a blog to document my food experiences, share a few recipes, and maybe write the odd feature or share a few health hacks along the way.

Food has always been pretty much life; coming from a Maltese family on one side and a very traditional English on the other, cooking and eating have always been at the core of our family get-togethers and one of the focal points of my upbringing.  On the flip side, file_000-20fitness has only become a huge part of my life over the past few years since graduating; be it working out in the gym, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Zumba, Yoga or anything else you can convince me to get involved in (I even did Tough Mudder Half once…). I’ve grown to absolutely love it.  I never used to care much about what I ate or when, yet the more I read-up and put into practice the more I feel I learn and grow as a person, giving me the confidence to change in a way I never thought I would.  Something I hope to share with you.

And now for something completely different… a few unrelated facts about me:

  1. I’m one of the biggest geography geeks you’ll probably ever meet, so I love to travel around and adore pretty much everything about the environment;
  2. My entire family is very musical and we love to be creative;
  3. I did Dry January in 2017 and it was undoubtedly one of the hardest things I’ve ever done;
  4. I, like anyone, can pick way too many flaws in myself sometimes but I’m also pretty confident and out-going, so trying to kick the bad habit. There’s a strong push towards this on various social media at the moment and I think it’s a really important change we should all try hard to make.

So there you have it, a little bit about me and what inspired me to start this blog.  Now, let’s see how she flies.
